What's changed in this release
Shinydrive Server now runs on Apache Tomcat 10.1 or Tomcat 11 with Java 21.
Shinydrive Server now communicates with Content Server through the Content Server REST API. You no longer need to deploy
sd-csws.waror OpenText'scws.war, and you no longer need a second Tomcat instance. You no longer need to add
--add-opensJava options to Tomcat.
If you are upgrading from an earlier version, see Upgrading from a previous version below.

Make sure you have the following items before you install Shinydrive Server:
Shinydrive Suite download folder (provided by Shinydocs)
Shinydrive Suite license key (from Shinydocs)

Upgrading from a previous version
If you previously installed Shinydrive Server with the SOAP-based (CWS) setup:
Stop all Apache Tomcat services on the Shinydrive server.
Check that the server has Java 21 and Tomcat 10.1 or Tomcat 11. If you were running Shinydrive Server on Tomcat 9, install Tomcat 10.1 or 11 first.
Remove the following from the
webappsfolder(s), including the expanded folders Tomcat created when it deployed them:sd-csws.warand thesd-cswsfoldercws.warand thecwsfolder (only if nothing other than Shinydrive uses them)
Remove any
--add-opensentries you added to the Tomcat Java options (inTomcat9w.exe/Tomcat10w.exe→ Java tab).Replace the old
shinydrive-server.war, and its expandedshinydrive-serverfolder, with the newshinydrive-server.war.Start the Tomcat service.
In the Shinydrive Admin page, update the Content Server connection so it points to Content Server's REST endpoint rather than the old CWS port (for example, 8082 or 8445).
Once Shinydrive is working, you can uninstall the separate Tomcat instance you used only to host
cws.war.
